I was relieved at the abortion result, one small victory for the time being. Of course some anti-abortionists were up in arms and parading pics of babies who were born at 22 weeks. I still find it ridiculous to base laws around a handful of babies who survive when most die or are severly disabled if born prematurely. It's bad science.
So Eurovision is on again. I normally start watching it and then get bored after an hour. Terry Wogan is the best part, his descriptions are hilarious! The best part is the voting and guessing which countries will vote for each others. It's so predictable now. Greece and Turkey hate each other, the Scandinavians stick together - as do Germany, Austria and Switzerland. No one stands a chance with the Balkan block voting. It's a shame but fun nonetheless. Everyone talks about whether "we" have a great song but it makes no difference - we will NEVER win ever again! The UK is hated by most of Europe.
I have just watched "I'd do anything" and my favourite is definitely Jodie. I was also glad to see little Gwion get through as one of the Olivers. His welsh accented rendition of Bright Eyes had me in tears in the early weeks! Bless him.
But I must have one complaint - why keep pretending that the results show is filmed tomorrow!? ALW kept saying "tomorrow night is going to be tough". They change all the outfits to try and dupe us. Why bother? They do the same with Come Dancing. I have nothing against the results show on the following day but just don't lie. The Beeb has been in trouble for lying so they should know better! How do I know it isn't live? Because I find out the result on the internet forums on Sunday morning!
I am impatient...
