Patients and Patience

So I now have a chest infection. Yes, my throat had had enough of being ill, so passed it down to my chest- very nice! The problem is that I am coughing all of the time - especially at night.

Now I might have mentioned that I am married to a generally marvellous and lovely man. He is kind, sweet, loving.... but he is a nightmare when I have a cough. It is one of the few things he can't stand at night. I can't help coughing of course because I'm ill. He can't help sighing and saying "do you have to cough?" (no, i do it for fun, is my reply!) Last night was a particularly uncomfortable one because he then kept counting down how many hours he had left until the alarm clock. "five hours left"......"four hours left".....
In the end, he went to sleep in the lounge.

I stayed awake and .....coughed.
